by on December 5, 2015

Well folks, Day 1 has come and gone. So many great things announced, games played, pictures taken, and we are not done yet! 1 more day to go. Here was my take away from day 1.

Playstation Experience Keynote

All the juicy detail you can find on our previous live blog that is and will stay up on our website for your viewing pleasure. Just scroll down to the bottom of the blog page to start from the beginning. In brief, so many great games coming out, classic games being re-mastered and brought back to life for next generation across all genres, and the VR for Playstation looks really solid and simply amazing. At the bottom of this page you can find a link to the previous blog post from this morning.

Big Round Of Applause For San Diego Studios:

I must say a huge round of a applause for San Diego Studios and their released/upcoming games. All look amazing and really solid games. Feel free to check them out when you get a chance.

1. Drawn To Death
2. Kill Strain (new upcoming MOBA)
3. Guns Up

Playstation VR Is Definitely Real and Almost Ready:

Sony has made major gain towards the steps in Virtual Reality. I was lucky enough to be able to play and demo two great games. One game is entitled eclipse and the other is RIGS Mechanized Combat League. While eclipse was a standard tech demo, RIGS Is an entire other story.

RIGS is a Mech Battle type game where the one mode that was demoed is a 3 vs 3 battle in which the goal is to not only destroy and kill the other team but to also score “Goals”. To score a goal in the middle of the map you must build up your turbo and once you have it, you need to jump through the goal to score a point.

Destiny and Bungee Still Holding Strong With New Content

Bungee and Destiny’s big announcement was the Sparrow League Racing. YES you can finally race those sparrows like Anakin Skywalker races Pod Racers. I also got my hands on demo of that one as well and it brings something fresh that changes the game a bit and is a good break from the norm. While it was mentioned that it was a 3 week run for the new event, it would be nice if they keep in my opinion.

Uncharted 4 Panel With Cast Hosted By Greg Miller

Got a chance to sit down at a 3pm Panel with the Uncharted 4 Cast Staring Nolan North (Nathan Drake), Richard McGonagle (Victor Sullivan), Troy Baker (Sam Drake), Emily Rose (Elena Fisher), and Laura Bailey (Nadine Ross). The cast was very entertaining to watch. You can tell that after this 10 year journey of not just making a game but truly building a franchise and relationships with each other it is a perfect fit for all of them. The front man Greg Miller hosting the panel was amazing as usual, really funny guy and knows how to roll with it when he needs to improvise. Looking forward to playing this final chapter in the series. On a side note, is it just me or who else would love to see a movie on this game?
