Xbox Brings Some Announcements During Gamescom 2018

by on August 21, 2018

Some of you may have missed the early morning Inside Xbox broadcast.  If you did, we have a quick recap for you!  Check it out –

  • PUBG will leave Game Preview on September 4th!  With the full game release comes a new game mode and a new map.  Also, all achievements from the Game Preview will carry over to the full game release.  It will also include a new in-game currency and cosmetics.
  • The Master Chief Collection comes to Game Pass in September – On September 1st, Halo: The Master Chief Collection comes to Xbox Game Pass with game improvements and 4K upgrades.  A new Game Pass is also available for download.  This beta app will be a one-stop shop for everything in the catalog, and you can download to your console straight from the app.
  • New Game Footage and info – Inside Xbox showed footage from Ori, Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay.  More info can be found on Xbox Wire.
  • Bundle Announcements – New Xbox One X bundles include Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 76, and Battlefield V.  There will also be an Xbox One S bundle with Forza Horizon 4.  The Xbox Design Lab has also been updated to give you new camo and shadow customizations!  More info can be found here.

Make sure to check out the Xbox News Wire for more details.  I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot of announcements, but Xbox gave us some good stuff to look forward to!   Having an improved Master Chief collection of Xbox will be nice, and those bundles and improvements to Design Lab are awesome.
