X019 Recap

by on November 14, 2019

It was another long episode of Inside Xbox, broadcast live from merry ol’ London.  Despite the show length, there were plenty of new trailers shown and lots of great news to report.  With that in mind, I wanted to recap some of the exciting news from today’s show.  More details can be found here and I encourage you to check it all out.  Here are some of the things that I really liked about today’s show –

  1.  New Game Announcements – There was plenty to celebrate in terms of new game announcements.  Rare and Obsidian showed off new IPs called Everwild and Grounded.  We also saw trailers for Kartrider: Drift, West of Dead, Drake Hollow, Last Stop, and Artful Escape.  Besides new announcements, we got glimpses of previously announced titles like Age of Empires 4, Wasteland 3, Flight Simulator, Bleeding Edge, Crossfire X, and Minecraft Dungeons.
  2. Project xCloud will be expanding – Sorry, Google Stadia.  xCloud came out swinging with some great news today.  Over 50 titles will be entering the preview stage of xCloud, with more people and countries being invited to the preview.  In 2020, xCloud will be available to Windows 10 PCs.  More controllers will be supported, including the DualShock 4 wireless controller and gamepads from Razer.  Xbox Game Pass games will also be available for xCloud in 2020.
  3. Black Friday deals were announced – You can check those out here.
  4. Tons of games coming soon to Game Pass – At this point, it’s comical when you think about the insane value of Xbox Game Pass.  More titles were announced, including Witcher 3, games from the Yakuza series, Final Fantasy games, and Kingdom Hearts games.  Many are coming in 2020, but there will be a few coming out this holiday.  Check out this post for more details.
  5. Tell Me Why excites the gaming universe – A new title called Tell Me Why was announced and it has a whole lot of people talking.  The story itself looks very intriguing.  But not only that, it will feature the first playable transgender videogame hero from a major studio and publisher.  That’s pretty groundbreaking if you ask me.  More info can be found on their website here.

Overall, it was a fantastic show.  There were plenty more announcements that I didn’t cover here, so check out the Xbox News Wire for more information.  Let us know in the comments if you watched the show and what you thought of it!
