San Diego Comic-Con starts this week and will welcome thousands upon thousands of guests. Not only will we get lots of movies and comic news, but gaming will also be represented! Here are some panels and events that will be at SDCC this year:
PUBG will be at “The Experience” at Petco Park between July 19-22. It will feature the PUBG Bus along with plenty of things to do (and win). You won’t even need a badge as “The Experience” is open to the public. Free swag, win PUBG prizes and watch a very special Xbox Live Sessions from inside of the PUBG Bus featuring Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene on Thursday, July 19 from 5-6 PM PST. Oh, and you can enter to win the PUBG Bus at https://summerofpubg.com/
Creative Director Julian Gerighty, Lead Narrative Designer John Bjorling, Writer Alex Irvine and Dark Horse editor Ian Tucker will be in Room 6BCF on July 19th at 6 pm. With host Andrea Rene, they will discuss the universe of The Division, the development process, and universe expansion through comic books, novels, and other media.
Activision will have a presence at SDCC this year with Black Ops 4, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Destiny 2.
Black Ops 4 will be featured in a panel on Thursday, July 19th at 1 pm in Room 6BCF. Treyarch’s Jason Blundell (Sr. Executive Producer) and Craig Houston (Lead Writer) celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Call of Duty’s Zombies and discuss what’s next for the zombie franchise. Fans will get never-before-seen footage, special announcements, and Q&A. Attendees will also have opportunities to attend the Dark Horse comic cover art signing, BAIT signing, and can purchase special apparel and figures from McFarlane Toys.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy will also have a panel in Room 6BCF on Thursday, July 19th at 2:15 pm. Fans will hear about the creation of Spyro and the creative process behind the originals and the new HD remaster. Panelists will include Stewart Copeland (composer of the original Spyro soundtrack), Tom Kenny (the voice of Spyro), and Michael John (Producer at Universal Interactive Studios on the original Spyro trilogy).
Fans can also find collectible Crash Bandicoot and Destiny items on the show floor.
Marvel Games is making a big splash in Hall H this year. On Thursday, July 19th at 1 pm, Host Greg Miller will lead a discussion on all upcoming Marvel games, including Marvel Powers United VR, Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man, Marvel Strike Force, Marvel Future Fight, Marvel Contest of Champions, Spider-Man Unlimited, and Marvel Puzzle Quest.
