Sony To Close Doors On Guerrilla Cambridge Studio
The world gets a little darker today for the gamers that have embraced the PlayStation VR and one of its most anticipated games Rigs Mechanized Combat League. This particular studio was operating for a solid 19 years before Sony decided to end it. What does this mean exactly? Moving forward, RIGS Mechanized Combat League will no longer receive DLC or any type of expansions. However, this will not affect any online services or community support for the game.
In an official statement by the game’s community manager Jeroen Roding “We would seek to reassure you that the online service is not affected by this closure but unfortunately it will mean that there will be no further DLC for RIGS. We shall also continue to provide community support.”
Another concern that some may have as well was that Guerrilla Games is also the same company that is working on another popular and anticipated title Horizon: Zero Dawn. These changes will not affect this title and the project will continue as planned with its release date set for February 27th, 2017 next month.
