It’s been 5 long years since the Arkham series was wrapped up, and we have all been speculating as to what’s next for Rocksteady Studios. Well friends, we don’t have to wait much longer!
Today, it was announced that Rocksteady is indeed working on a game based on DC’s Suicide Squad. Rocksteady’s official Twitter account posted a teaser image this morning –

The official Twitter account for the game is @suicidesquadRS, so make sure to follow for further announcements on August 22nd.
So the question is, are you happy with this announcement? I’ll say this – the Arkham series is one of my favorite franchises of all time. I trust Rocksteady to do wonders with Suicide Squad as long as we don’t have a knee jerk reaction and automatically compare it to the Arkham series. However, I still wish that Rocksteady would give us a Superman game or, better yet, a game based on Kingdom Come. We’ll have to wait and see what the reveal gives us on August 22nd.
Looking at the image, what do you suppose it represents? Is it a mind controlled Superman, meaning we fight a controlled Justice League? Does the purple hue represent Bizarro? Or maybe the purple of Eclipso? Or maybe the Suicide Squad will need to go against Ultraman and the jerks from Earth 3? I hope that we will get a lot of good details on the 22nd and not a vague teaser.
