Razer is known as one of the most recognized gaming brands on the market today. Their brand of gear is used all over the world by casual and hardcore gamers alike. So it should come as no surprise that Razer is looking to team up with high-class eSports teams and supply peripherals. Recently, it was announced that Razer has a 2-year partnership with KSV, a global eSports organization, to supply peripherals for all of KSV’s athletes.
Some of you may know that KSV has dominant teams like Seoul Dynasty, who are season one favorites in the Overwatch league. KSV have won a few championships recently, including the 2017 League of Legends World Championship (formerly SSG), and the 2017 Heroes of the Storm BlizzCon Championship (formerly MVP Black).
All of the KSV teams will use Razer mice, keyboards, headsets, and surfaces in training as well as competition. The sponsorship will include KSV eSports’ current and future roster of elite teams.
Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, and CEO said the following in a press release – “Helping ambitious organizations and players reach the next level has been a matter of the heart for Razer since the very early days of professional esports. The passion and dedication to building a long-term, winning organization of players make a two-year deal with KSV eSports and Seoul Dynasty an easy decision.”
The CEO and co-founder of KSV eSports, Kevin Chou, said – “KSV eSports teams and players are among the most talented and professional the industry has to offer. Partnering with Razer ensures our athletes have access to the highest-quality peripherals to continue the organization’s success for now and into the future.”
I gotta say that this makes perfect sense. I respect Razer peripherals for their comfort and reliability, which are pretty important for competitive gaming. I’m looking forward to seeing how KSV does in future tournaments with Razer by their side.
