Announcement For PS4 Standard and Pro
Well that day has come and gone on the PlayStation Meetings live event. With that we have 2 new consoles being released over the next few months. Starting with the “Standard” PlayStation as it has been title. This console is basically what we know and love about the current generation PlayStation 4, just simply in a lighter and more compact design. It is set to release on September 15th for a retail price of $299.99 USD.
Moving on to what has now been confirmed as the PlayStation NEO Project system, now is being presented to the masses as PlayStation 4 Pro. With it come various confirmed rumors in that it will have a faster GPU, increased hard drive size going up to a 1TB hard drive, 4K Imaging support with HDR (High Dynamic Range), and smoother frame rates all by being supported with a faster CPU. All PS4 systems (Current and Future) are also ready to deliver on the promise of virtual reality with the upcoming launch of PlayStation VR on October 13th, 2016. The PlayStation 4 Pro will retail at $399.99 and be released on November 10th, just in time for that Black Friday mad holiday rush and to be begged for by you’re kids and loved ones for a nice little present under the X-Mas tree this year.
One good point that was mentioned among these new announcements is that all your current and future PlayStation 4 games will still be compatible back to your original PS4 from 2013 to the new and current PlayStation 4 Standard and Pro. Other items mentioned during the event include demo footage of upcoming titles such as Horizon Dawn and gave us an idea of what they will look like in 4K Resolution. Let us know your thoughts and what you thought of Sony’s event. Will you be getting the PS4 Pro or holding off with the system you have?
