JRPG fans will be sad to hear that Ni no Kuni II’s release date has been readjusted. According to a video posted on twitter by Bandai Namco US featuring CEO and President of LEVEL-5 inc the game will suffer a delay. The sequel’s release date is now January 19th of 2018. From the video it seems like they will take this time to polish Ni no Kuni II to keep it up to the high standard set by the first game. Akihiro Hino also clarified that there will not be any type of multiplayer in the game. During a recent E3 interview he misspoke about multiplayer aspects of the game.
Personally I am fine with this. The first game was amazing and I would hope they take good care to finish the game and work out all the bugs. More time usually makes for a better game that we can all enjoy.
