Leaks are unfortunate in the gaming world. But in this case, I’m so happy it happened. Because today, due to the rumors, Xbox officially announced their second console in the next-gen Xbox Series. This is the Xbox Series S –
Along with the image, we got a fantastic hype trailer and official launch date of November 10th, 2020! Retail price is $299.99!
For a $300 console, the specs are pretty impressive to me. The S is all digital and 1440P up to 120 FPS. It also features DirectX Ray Tracing, variable-rate shading, variable refresh rate, ultra-low latency, 4K streaming media playback, and 4K upscaling. The downside? Only a 512 GB SSD. But at $300, it is a really solid option for consumers.
Now the question remains – will we finally get a price point and date for Series X? And when will Sony announce the price and date for the PS5? Only time will tell. But hopefully, they won’t wait too much longer.
Let us know what you think in the comments! Which console will you get this holiday season?
