Kicking It with Kickstarter – Week Ending 9/21

by on October 19, 2016

Can I Kick It??? YES YOU CAN!!!!!!

We are back with another Kicking It with Kickstarter!  Due to scheduling conflicts, this series will most likely be bi-monthly.  However, we will do our best to bring you fun projects that need your support!  As always, we love any suggestions from you.  If you have a project or know of a project that should be featured here, make sure to let us know in the comments!  Here are this week’s projects –

Undertale Charity FanArt Book

I try to feature any project that races awareness or funds for charity.  Gamers for Good is a great organization that is collecting art from around the world based on Undertale.  The art book will feature illustrations, paintings, cosplay, and other pieces of art based on the popular game.  You can see some of the pages on their Kickstarter page.  They have about 900 submissions for this book.  And proceeds go towards gamer related mental illness programs.  They would appreciate any support, so go to their Kickstarter page HERE if you want to donate.  There are 28 days left on the project.

Legends of the Brawl

Co-op brawlers have always been a favorite genre of mine.  Mix that genre with historical figures, and you have Dark Tonic’s Legends of the Brawl.  This 4 player co-op brawler currently features 3 historical figures – Teddy Roosevelt, Nikola Tesla, and Lizzie Borden.  With you support, more figures will be added to the game.  You take on Rasputin and battle his evil nightmares.  Legends of the Brawl features character leveling, platforming, and some pretty awesome weapons and powers.  I want to see this game hit retail so badly, so let’s help it reach it’s goal!  Click HERE to see more and support the project.  There are 27 days left on the project.

Iron Tides

Who doesn’t love a great Viking game?  Crash Wave Games has created a beautiful turn-based Viking tale for PC, Mac, and Linux.  There is a pretty interesting mix of survival and exploration along with the turn-based combat system.  Your role as chieftain is to navigate your crew to raid and loot.  The procedurally generated world gives you a ton of area to explore.  You have to use strategy to make sure your crew survives and make room for items and loot.   Even the Vikings are procedurally generated, so they take unique upgrade paths.  This looks like a really cool strategy game!  They are about 50% away from their goal, but are running out of time!  There are 13 days left, so click HERE if you want to support them!

That is all for this week!  We will see you soon with another edition of Kicking It with Kickstarter!
