Sorry for the delay, everyone. Family obligations kept me from getting this out yesterday. As always, we take a look every week at Kickstarter and highlight some interesting projects that need your support. And remember, if you have any suggestions for our weekly article, let us know in the comments below or on social media!
GameMaker Studio Course: Make a Stunning Fantasy RPG
This project is from Heartbeast Studios in Salt Lake City. Benjamin has developed several courses on how to use GameMaker Studio and wants to create another, more advanced course for building RPGs. There are a ton of people out there with fantastic ideas and may need some help getting those ideas into a program. This course sounds a like a fantastic option to teach some advanced techniques for creating your very own RPG in GameMaker Studio. This project has 29 days to go. Evil Dead 2: The Official Board Game
Hail to the King, Baby!! This board game from Space Goat Productions, Inc. is the perfect gift for board game enthusiasts and Evil Dead fans. In this game, 2-6 players work together to collect pages of the Ex-Mortis while avoiding Deadites!!! This project made it’s goal very quickly, and they are working on stretch goals to add to the game, including more tokens, expansions, packs, etc. There are 26 days left to help them reach their stretch goals. If you want to support this project, go to their Kickstarter page HERE.
Best Buds vs. Bad Guys
I’m a sucker for 16 bit retro games. And this one has everything I need: best buds, tons of enemies, and side scrolling action. If you are a big fan of games like Contra, this project is for you. The game features 2 player co-op and many levels of mayhem. The game will come out on Steam and has a stretch goal to have it come on on the PS Vita. There are only 6 days left and they about 60% to their goal, so you will need to hurry if you are interested in backing it! Go to their Kickstarter page HERE for more details.
We will be back next week with more projects!
