Kicking It with Kickstarter – Week Ending 10/7

by on October 5, 2016

We are back with another addition of Kicking It with Kickstarter!  I took the week off to care for my newborn son, but now I am back and ready to bring you more awesome projects on Kickstarter!  We have seen a lot success from Kickstarter projects, so we are more than happy to show you some projects we are excited about.  Without further ado, here are this week’s featured projects –

Fall of Freya

Fall of Freya is a cooperative sci-fi first person shooter.  Not only do you have some fun sci-fi shoot elements, but you also have fun RPG elements like leveling up, upgrades, and options for different shooter classes (or species as it is called in the game).  You task is to survive 10 waves of enemies either solo or cooperatively.  Plus, you have a really interesting frost mechanic.  The environment and temperature play a big part in the game.  The temperature can either aide you by triggering performance boosts or kill you.  The game is currently greenlit for Steam.  For more information (and a link to a demo!), click HERE.

Goblins of Elderstone

I love goblins (or, as I sometimes call them, gahbos)!  Lost Goblin has created a fun, animated world of goblins.  Think of it as a crazy goblin tribe simulator.  There are village/city building elements to deal with.  Plus, you also control who they attack and help your tribe defend the village.  There are a lot of options in Goblins of Elderstone.  I love the art design and wouldn’t mind creating my own tribe of goblins to ransack and pillage any village or group that stand in my way!  For more information, and if you want to support this project, click HERE.

Calculords 2: Rise of the Shadow Nerd

Calculords 2 is the sequel to the highly acclaimed original game from Sean Reiley (aka Seanbaby from  At first glance, it is a puzzle/collectable card game.  But Calculords 2 throws in math and numbers as well.  The sequel looks to improve greatly on the first game with improved sound and art, more cards, bosses, and special abilities.  Dare I say that math can actually be fun?  It definitely can with Calculords 2.  For more information, click HERE.  Also, the original is available for FREE on IOS, Android, and Windows store, so give it a try and support the sequel!

Butt Sniffin Pugs

There comes a time in every man’s life where you wonder if you will ever have the chance to see a butt sniffing dog game.  THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME!  Butt Sniffin Pugs is a pretty funny game from Space Beagles.  The game is influenced by games like Animal Crossing, in that it is an open ended world that is playable for all ages.  You use your pug to explore Central Bark and solve puzzles.  It is playable solo or with a friend.  You can solve puzzles, upgrade your doghouse, find secrets – it may be the sandbox pug game you have been waiting for!  Click HERE for more information and to see the great rewards for supporting it.

We will be back next week with more projects!  Make sure to comment or tell us on social media if you know a project that should be featured in next week’s edition!
