Impulse Gear and PlayStation Confirm Dates For Farpoint and New Accessory

Taking to the show floors at E3 Expo last year, as well as the PlayStation Experience is a new game coming to the PlayStation 4 console with support of the recently released PS4 Virtual Reality Headset. According to PlayStation “Farpoint is an unnerving VR space adventure set on a hostile alien planet. On a mission to pick up scientists studying an anomaly near Jupiter, a rupture from the anomaly transports the player and scientists to an unknown alien world”.

Announced today and confirmed is that Farpoint will have an official release date of May 16th, 2017. This will also go along with the release of a new controller that will work with the systems existing move controller. Based out of San Francisco, CA Impulse Gear was founded in 2013. With a dedicated team of developers that have 40 years experience not only in mobile and console gaming, but also working on some of the biggest titles at EA, Sony Computer Entertainment.

The PlayStation VR Aim Gun that will also be released with FarPoint which does not appear to be required but highly recommended to fully enjoy the VR Experience. According to GameStop’s website, the current price point is $49.99 for the game by itself or $79.99. I am not entirely sure yet if that is a confirmed price point as they are currently not showing the correct release date which was confirmed today.
