Pretty interesting news from 2K and Turtle Rock today. The developers announced today that Evolve: Stage 2 will be released on Steam….and it is free to play! As you may recall, Evolve was released in 2015 and gave you the task of hunting various monsters in a 4 on 1 battle. While most of the reviews from various websites gave the game good reviews, the user review for the game were quite low ( a 4.3). Stage 2 looks to rehaul the original game with new game mechanics and game balance. According to the developer letter to the community, they wanted to update the classes, improve maps and UI, rework progression systems, and add more customization.
Starting today, you can download the Stage 2 Beta from Steam. The beta will help expose any server issues and bugs before it is officially released. If you own the original game on PC, then you will automatically be upgraded to the Stage 2 version and be given Founder’s Status. No word yet on when Stage 2 will be available for consoles or if it will be free to play on consoles.
I’m curious to try Evolve: Stage 2 and see the changes. Will you be downloading the beta and trying it? Let us know in the comments below!
