Crackdown 3 Technical Test Arrives Tomorrow

by on February 6, 2019

Crackdown 3 is FINALLY coming out next week!  Today, on Xbox News Wire, the development team announced that they need your help testing their multiplayer mode called Wrecking Zone.

Wrecking Zone is the Azure cloud-powered multiplayer mode that is fully destructible.  In order to prepare for the launch, a technical test will be open to Xbox Insiders starting tomorrow at 12 pm PST.  Players will be able to try out Agent Hunter Mode on the Blackout Zone map.  In this mode, players take out agents and take their badges in order to score points.

In the post (which you can read here), Wrecking Zone is built on brand-new technology that utilizes the cloud in ways never been done before, enabling players the ability to destroy entire buildings and cause mayhem on an unprecedented scale. We’ve been playing and simulating games internally every day, but nothing beats real-world data and feedback from you.”

Additional playtest sessions for the weekend will be announced in the Xbox Insider Hub, Discord and on the Crackdown 3 Facebook and Twitter.

If you are not an Xbox Insider, simply download the Insider Hub on your Xbox.  From the hub, search Wrecking Zone: Technical Test.  Remember that this is not a beta, and the team would greatly appreciate your feedback by taking the survey when the test is over.  Please report any bugs or glitches that you come across!

Crackdown 3 will be available on February 15th on Xbox Game Pass, or you can purchase it separately.

Post your Gamertag in the comments if you are planning on playing the technical test!
