by on September 21, 2016

Lately, Microsoft has announced a lot of great upcoming bundles, including the Battlefield 1 bundles.  Earlier this week, Microsoft announced a new bundle – the Minecraft Favorites Bundle!

The bundle includes the 500gb version of the Xbox One S (with 4K Blu Ray Player, 4K Streaming, and HDR) and a lot of Minecraft goodies.  Not only do you get the full game, you also get the following Minecraft packs –

  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Favorites Pack download code, which features the Festive Mash-up Pack, Halo Mash-up, Fantasy Texture Pack, Natural Texture Pack, City Texture Pack, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack and Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack
  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Builder’s Pack download code, which includes Biome Settlers Skin Pack, Cartoon Texture Pack, Candy Texture Pack, Plastic Texture Pack, Pattern Texture Pack and the Greek Mythology Mash-up

Also included is a beta code for the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and a 14 day trial for Xbox Live.

At first glance, I didn’t quite understand why we have this bundle.  Minecraft has been downloaded by millions of players.  Do we really need a bundle with this particular game included?  But then I remembered how close we are to the holiday season.  Millions of parents will see this on store shelves, remember their kids talking about it, and pick it up for the holidays.  It’s a pretty smart bundle if you ask me.

The Minecraft Favorites Bundle is $299.99 and is already available in the U.S. and Canada.  It will be available in Europe on Oct. 21st and in Australia and New Zealand on Nov. 1st.  No dates have been announced for Asia or Latin America.  Click HERE to check out the press release if you want to read more.
