Hazelight is back at it with another co-op only adventure. Similar to their previous game, A Way Out, It Takes Two is a game built around the idea of split screen co-op being the intended experience. However, this title appears to be a polar opposite in terms of tone.
Cody and May are a pair of humans undergoing a marital rough patch. Instead of getting counseling and talking through their issues, they find that have been turned into dolls! With the help of a talking book, they must work together and make up in order to break this spell.
Given the situation, the two find themselves in many ridiculous scenarios. The couple is shown doing anything from riding on frog mounts to grappling through frigid caverns. The story seems like it will be a heartwarming one you will want to share with a good friend or partner.
Due to its co-op requirement, It Takes Two takes a similar approach to its older sibling. EA utilizes a Friend’s Pass feature for this title. One one player needs to own the game in order to play with an online buddy. The owner can invite a friend to their game, allowing the second player to download and play with them free of charge.
It Takes Two releases on March 26, 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
