Tomorrowland (2015)

by on March 11, 2015

For this writer, I am pretty excited to see the soon release of this movie that is currently set for May 2015. For those Disney fanatics out there, if you see the title Tomorrowland and think to yourself about the wonderful land of the not so future anymore, you are correct. Recent rumors are buzzing around lately that Tomorrowland will be Disney’s next big rebuild project at its Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California. One can only help (including myself) that this movie will build the foundation it needs to move forward with a proper futuristic theme. The other rumored project is that Disney will turn its beloved Tomorrowland at Disneyland into a Star Wars themed land. Until then we can only speculate what this new land of tomorrow will look like according to Disney. Please go ahead and enjoy the latest trailer below. As usual feel free to comment, tweet, or share.

While I’m a huge Disney fan and appreciate their constant innovations and imagination a complete overhaul of tomorrowland would be disappointing. The current “steam punk” version is awesome. A complete shift to star wars would be interesting. imho it wouldn’t stay true to walt’s vision of future possibilities.

      Hey curcal,

Thank you for the response. I am also quite the Disney geek as well. I agree its hard when your talking about a land like tomorrow land that has so much history behind its existing attractions that are hard to say goodbye to. If you think about Walt’s Vision, what do you think he would say about today’s “Tomorrowland” if he were still alive? a potluck of random themes that do not really go together mixed with an updated submarine ride, a car ride that has been there since forever, a struggling movie theatre that cannot seem to get the right show in to attract crowds and a ridiculously massive building that seems to hold all things of the unknown and just a time killer for when your bored.

In regards to a theme, I would LOVE to see the whole thing taken down and completely redone. Now as drastic as that sounds, if they were to do the star wars theme, they could obviously keep Star Tours and re-theme space mountain as well as buzz lightyear. They could turn the people mover track into a speeder bike attraction and Autotopia into a pod racing type thing maybe. Those are just some random thoughts of my own. Disneyworld I think has more of the steam punk theming in their park Vs. Disneyland.

Maybe they are using the movie as a theme idea and seeing how the public reacts? Who knows. Please remember to keep up the great feedback and share with your friends. We are really looking to grow this site and still working on the content as well. We love the conversation and feedback with everyone!
