For several years now, I’ve been interested in electronics. Especially, DIY electronics. To me, the thought of building something functional from individual components by hand, feels… natural. In this new series of articles, called DIY Tech, I want to share upon that thought, and the power of making. In the words of Adam Savage:
The coolest toys don’t have to be bought; they can be built. In fact, sometimes the only way they’ll ever exist is if you make them yourself.
The direction I’m planning to take with this series is to have an article at a minimum of one article every 2 weeks. Maybe even once a week if I can manage it. In these articles, I’ll cover interesting DIY electronics finds on Kickstarter, or schematics and projects I’ve found online or I’m working on. A monthly build of something also seems like a good idea.
Come back in a week, and then we’ll take a look at the Raspberry Pi Zero. I just managed to obtain one. Meanwhile, you can read this amazing article forward on what MAKE:Magazine found inside Valve’s secret labs.
