Ubisoft Announces AAA Titles for Next Year

by on May 16, 2017

Today, Ubisoft sent an email with a ton of fiscal information for the 2016-17 school year.  Among the numbers, Yves Guillemot, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, stated the following:

“Over the last three fiscal years, Ubisoft has – with remarkable success – created numerous new brands and rebooted Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon. These successes have strengthened our visibility for the coming two fiscal years, with a line-up of releases principally comprised of established franchises. In 2017-18 we will see the exciting returns of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew and South Park. In 2018-19 we intend to pursue our digital transformation and consolidate our new business model, which is much more recurring and more profitable and is now significantly less exposed to new releases. This revision of our assumptions gives greater visibility for meeting our targets.”

As this announcement was made, the Twitter handles for several of these games released images along with notes to watch the Ubisoft E3 conference, which will be held June 12th at 1pm.

There have already been some linked images of the new Assassin’s Creed, which looks to take place in Ancient Egypt.  Of course, this is right on par with the serious, which has a serious problem of having information leaked early.  I’m excited to see what Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2 have in store for us.  Of course, South Park: The Fractured But Whole had been hit with serious delays, so hopefully we will hear more info about a release date during E3.

Which franchise are you most excited to see?  Let us know in the comments!

Far Cry 5 is rumored to be an open-world western. I hope it is and if it’s true, they need to release it before Red Dead Redemption 2.
