Without giving away too much detail about the game so that you can experience this amazing adventure on your own, I will say that this masterpiece has Game Of The Year written all over it. The deep storyline, stunning visuals, special effects, character personalities and interactions are just one exciting turn after another as your progress through the storyline. Not to mention, who doesn’t like a good Pirate Story with buried treasure?

One new feature that has been introduced to this series is entitled “Photo Mode”. Photo mode allows the player to pause the game mid action during any point of the gameplay itself. Once paused, you can rotate the camera around and get that perfect angle and effect you were looking for through a series of filters, camera tools, and unique custom borders. You will not have camera control if you enter “Photo Mode” during a cutscene, however it is still one extremely powerful tool that you will find yourself using quite often during the action. I even caught myself dying on purpose and do the scene over again because I thought to myself “That would have been a really cool photo!!”.

As far as the replay value is concerned, they have done a really great job with this one. Once the game has been completed, Naughty Dog has gone out of their way this time to make sure you can replay this game without getting bored. As you progress through the game, you collect points. You can use these points to unlock a series of costumes, guns, and bonus effects. These bonus effects include the ability to re-play the game in a variety of graphic modes including 8-bit, Cell-Shaded, Black and White, and many other modes.

All the pictures below (Spoiler Free) were taken in game using the new Photo Mode…

Bottom Line

In regards to the story itself, it leaves you wanting more yet satisfied if they decided that this is really it for Nathan Drake and the gang. The visuals alone leave you stopping dead in your tracks just to admire the scenery, or perhaps snap a quick screenshot using the new "Photo Mode".

If you have not made the purchase yet, what are you waiting for? You wont regret the purchase. The game seriously defines what epic video games should be. A game that you can enjoy and want to keep playing through the night until the credits roll before realizing that its 2am and you have work tomorrow..
