We had a blast playing the indie game We Need To Go Deeper! Check out some footage below!
This game is built for multiplayer. You control a submarine trying to get deeper into the ocean. Each playthrough will have different environments and builds, such as arctic ocean and volcanic environments. You must work together to navigate and power engines and weapons in your sub. As sea monsters attack, you need to repair and protect your sub before it floods and kills you. It gets pretty hairy, so teamwork is a must. Besides the fun gameplay, the art design is very cool. Think Jules Verne/20,000 Leagues Under the Sea art design.
The build we played used Gamemaker, but we found out that Deli Interactive will be switching to Unity engine. Gamemaker couldn’t handle the size of the game and had too many bugs. The team will continue working on the game and hope for Early Steam Access sometime this winter.
We look forward to seeing the new build in the future. GameOctane will bring you more news from Deli Interactive as it becomes available. We look forward to seeing more! Thanks to Nick and Courtney for giving us a look at the game! If you want to see a little more, check out the trailer below –
