Red Dead Redemption Delayed Until Fall 2018

by on February 1, 2018

As gamers, we hate the word “delayed.”  And unfortunately, Rockstar Games announced that the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 will be delayed until October 26th, 2018.

In a post written on their website, Rockstar said the following:

“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.  We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it.”

At the end of the post, Rockstar posted some beautiful screenshots for us to drool over.

Now, I get the disappointment.  This is one of my most anticipated games of the year, and I want to play as soon as possible.  However, if the team needs more time to polish, then won’t we all benefit from that?  It’s disappointing, but I don’t mind the delay.  I want this game to look and play at it’s best, and more time is necessary to accomplish that.

Let us know what you think of the delay in the comments below!
