This week, Xbox celebrated it’s 15th anniversary on the November 15th. Xbox has been my console of choice for most of those years. I can’t thank my Dad enough for surprising me with an Xbox when I was younger. I had been in a pretty bad funk and he took me to Walmart to pick up a console and Halo: Combat Evolved. Xbox has been played by countless gamers. Xbox News Wire posted some pretty fun numbers in regards to Xbox –
- Number of players: 222,468,423
- Number of total gaming hours: 100,539,390,670
- Number of total multiplayer hours: 29,000,304,183

I have played countless games on all Xbox consoles. Today, I wanted to give my Top 10 favorite Xbox exclusive games on Xbox, Xbox 360, and/or Xbox One. Now keep in mind, some of these games did end up on PC. Basically, the list will have exclusives that appeared on Xbox and not Playstation. Feel free to judge my list as you see fit. Just keep in mind that I might ask you for a self addressed stamped envelope so I can send you something in the mail if you disagree with me (I’ll give you a hint – it’s these hands). Without further ado, here is my Top 10 list!!
10. Sunset Overdrive
Sunset Overdrive was a real surprise for me. It had tons of action, hilarious characters, and fun customization options. The art design was really fun as well. If you haven’t tried it on Xbox, do yourself a favor and try it. It’s fun for single player and multiplayer.
9. Scene It! Lights, Camera, Action
I am a huge movie buff and I played Scene It for countless hours with my friends. Tons of movie trivia questions. The game came with special buzzer controllers for 4 players. I won a TON of games on Scene It!
8. Kinect Disneyland Adventures
Before you roll your eyes, hear me out. Yes, the Kinect had a lot of technical glitches and shortcomings. Most of the games were….not great. However, the magic of Disney somehow made this Kinect game really enjoyable. Who wouldn’t want the chance to run around Disneyland without paying the $100 ticket to get into the park?
7. Quantum Break
It was once exclusive but made it to PC earlier in the year. I loved playing Quantum Break on Xbox One. The combat was a fantastic mix of weapons and time manipulation powers. And the story was really cool.
The premise was simple – control an agent and help bring stability and peace to Pacific City! Collecting orbs would boost the abilities of your agent, giving you a chance to jump from building to building, throw cars, and become deadly accurate with your weapons. While Crackdown 2 was forgettable, I enjoyed the crap out of the original Crackdown.
5. Xbox Arcade
I understand that Xbox Arcade is a really broad topic for this list. But there were hundreds of affordable games on Xbox Arcade, so I had to include it on the list. While it is not exclusive anymore, my favorite Xbox Arcade is Shadow Complex. No matter what kind of gamer you are, you could always find a great game on Xbox Arcade.
4. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
KOTOR is arguably the best Star Wars games of all times. The story was incredible. The RPG elements were phenomenal. The memorable characters were also a plus for KOTOR. This was a huge hit for Xbox and is beloved by many, including myself.
3. Fable Franchise
Fable brought me so many great memories. I am pretty bummed that we won’t get any current gen Fables in the future. The gameplay and stories were really neat. Although there were a lot of promises from the developers that didn’t come to fruition, I still love the Fable series. My favorites? Fable II, followed by Fable III and Fable 1.
2. Gears of War Franchise
Gears of War is one of the best franchises of all time. The combat was incredible. The story was engaging and made us care about the characters. I still get emotional thinking about Dom finding his wife in Gears 2. I’m so happy that Gears 4 continued the tradition of excellent Gears games! In my opinion, the best game is Gears I, followed by Gears 4, Gears 3, Gears 2, and Judgement. And nothing will ever beat taking a chainsaw to the Locust scum!
1. Halo Franchise
Were you expecting anything else to take the number one spot? Halo is Xbox. You don’t think Xbox without thinking of the Halo series. It is arguably one of the best sci-fi first person shooters in gaming history. Halo not only had great single player campaigns, but set a high standard for multiplayer experiences. I love the entire franchise, so I had to put all of them at the number one spot.
