ABZÛ is an exploration game where you are a lone diver in a lush ocean world. The diver descends deeper and deeper into the depths, where she will encounter majestic creatures, discover ancient secrets, and search for her true purpose. ABZÛ roughly translates to “The Ocean of Wisdom” from ancient Sumerian.

When I got a chance to get hands on with this game in December of last year at PlayStation Experience 2015, I was not really sure what to think. As i talked to one of the representatives that were there, I simply asked what the point of the game was. It was then that I realized that there wasn’t really an end goal result for it. My honest first impressions were that the game would lose my interest quickly. Before i had a chance to realize it I found my self lost in its world of deep sea creatures, plants, exploration and not to mention amazingly beautiful art rendering that makes up the world of ABZÛ. The overall experience was almost therapeutic with a decent headset for audio accompanied by the stunning visuals of the game.

As about 15-20 minutes flew by, I understood the potential that a game like this has. The couple of questions that still strike my curiosity is that will it have a lot of replay value, and is there really an end to the game or will it follow a similar exploration type atmosphere that games like No Mans Sky will bring to the table. Stay tuned here for more on ABZÛ, as the game releases we will give our full review and grade of the game.
